Words

Karo wonders …

What is the purpose of words,
I wonder?
Do they matter,
If they are not approved
In matter?

So many words are spoken
Some good
Some bad
But what is a word in itself
Spoken,
But not lived?

Is it not just an abstraction of Reality?
Is it not only a distraction of Reality?
Is it the Whole Truth?
Or just a small part of it?
Incomplete?

Sometimes words are immensely beautiful.
They touch,
They move,
They hurt.

Nevertheless,
Words are just words.

Words are just one thing.
They are easy and quick to be spoken
They are easy and quick to be created.

Far more important than words are our deeds.
The things we do and the things we don’t do.

The Truth of an intention is the deed,
the act,
the realization into matter.
That is how Reality is born,
By our deeds
By our words approved in matter!

I wonder, where (IF) our world will stand in future
IF Humans speak beautifully,
But act in a different way?
Or don’t act at all?
Not because they are bad
Not because they are evil
Only because they are scared
Only because they are scared of facing their fears.

Conquering our fears is the only way for personal growth and human development!

Of course,
It is a personal choice to grow and to develop
It is another choice not to do so.

I believe, as a human being, it is our responsibility to grow.
It is our responsibility to develop our full potentials.
It is too easy to take it easy!

After all,
That is WHY we are Humans.
Equipped with reason and spirituality,
Full of talents, potential and wonders,
Capable of the extraordinary, the outstanding,
Born to excel and to thrive!

This is OUR responsibility
Not just for ourselves and our children
This is OUR responsibility
Towards Humanity!

But of course,
It is a choice.

Who am I to judge
Someone who lives by words
And not by deeds?

It is true
I have no right to judge,
But I know it will be judged
By Humanity itself!

Humanity is not made of empty words.
It has to be lived.
Otherwise Humanity is Nothing
but a beautiful word
An imagination of Reality
With no Reality …

With Love,
A wondering Karo

Save the Unicorns

Listen to the Mustn’ts, child,
Listen to the Don’ts.
Listen to the Shouldn’ts,
The Impossibles, the Won’ts.
Listen to the Never Haves,
Then listen close to me,
Anything can happen, child,
Anything can be.

Karo has been listening quite a lot.
Now she has something to say.
To Everybody.

To Everybody whose Dreams have been kicked:
To Everybody whose Dreams have been torn apart:
To Everybody whose Dreams have been ridiculed:
To Everybody whose Dreams have been talked down:
To Everybody who was advised to stop Dreaming and to live in Reality:

Don’t listen any longer!

Start Dreaming!
Continue Dreaming!
Again!

And the Dreams you’ve dumped,
Get them out of the waste bin!
For this is not the place, where they belong!

Take your Dreams seriously,
Hold on to them!
Again!
Make them Reality!
Because you can!
Because we ALL can!

To Everybody who has been kicking others Dreams:
To Everybody who has been tearing others Dreams apart:
To Everybody who has been ridiculing others Dreams:
To Everybody who has been talking down the Dreams of others:
To Everybody who is advising others to stop Dreaming and to live in Reality:

Stop it!
Stop it!
Stop it!
For we all know,
you are kicking because you have been kicked,
you are tearing apart because you have been torn apart,
you are ridiculing because you have been ridiculed,
you are talking down because you have been talked down,
you are advising because you have been advised,
Stop talking!
Stop advising and answer my questions:
Are you happy with this Reality?
Are you happy with the Reality you’ve created?
Now, you remain silent!
Start Dreaming!
Continue Dreaming!
Again!
And the Dreams you’ve dumped,
Get them out of the waste bin!
For this is not the place, where they belong!
Take your Dreams seriously,
Hold on to them!
Again!
Make them Reality!
Because you can!
Because we ALL can!

To Everybody:

I am a Dreamer
And I am proud of it!
Again!
I am not hiding from Reality, as some argue!
I am not running away from Reality, as some argue!
I take Reality very seriously,
But I don’t accept it as unchangeable,
I don’t accept it as carved in stone,
I don’t accept it as simply given!
I have a vision of my own,
I have a vision of how it can be,
I have a vision of how it can be if I make it happen
And that is, what I do!
Please, do the same!
For joined hands are more Powerful!

With LOVE,
Karo

About Happiness

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with Love, Grace and Gratitude.
Denis Waitley

What is Happiness? & How can it be pursued?

Age old questions, but Karo found her answers!

Happiness is an unexpected ice cold drink
in the middle of the Namib desert …

WP_20180323_008.jpg

It is hard to believe HOW much Happiness Karo received in the last months and years  through the simplest things, gestures and gifts …

a HOT shower or A shower in general
a warm and cosy bed
a roof over her head on a rainy day
a HOT drink after winter nights in the tent
a bag of sweet, ripe figs from a stranger
or an apple
a shared dinner
“new”  second hand clothes
cellphone reception
a washing machine
electricity
shade (from a tree, a road sign, a wall, …)
tail wind
down-hill
a star-filled sky
open doors and open hearts

On her Journey Karo learnt important lessons about Happiness. Karo learnt, that Happiness does not fall upon her by fate. It is created by herself through her attitude towards a certain situation. Happiness is situational and attitudinal. Karo learnt, her attitude towards a given situation is her own choice. It is her choice to find beauty in simplicity. The situation itself seems to be given, but Karo also learnt that situations can be invited. It is within Karo’s power to create an inviting environment for situations which give her Happiness.

Find Beauty in Bees and start planting Flowers !

Karo has often been asked by various Humans around the world what her aim in Life is. For Karo this is very easy to answer. Her aim in Life is Happiness and Karo is quite sure that she shares this aim with every Body. Nevertheless, her answer has often been questioned or classified as “too general”. Karo doesn’t agree, but that is a different story – a very long one – and it would probably bore you, but for the record, NO, she doesn’t want wealth, or fame, or career, or success. Well, maybe she does … Karo actually aims for wealth and success, but in her way!

Karo wants to be RICH in experience and
SUCCESS-ful in creating Happiness for herSelf and Others!

HOW ?

By being GOOD … to Herself and Others

Because – and this is the MOST IMPORTANT LESSON she learnt about Happiness –
BEING GOOD and BEING with GOOD BEINGS is – to her –
the way to pure and true HAPPINESS!

Adeus Tofo

Tofo Beach is a little piece of paradise on the turquoise waters of the Indian ocean – the Mozambican channel – dividing mainland Africa from Madagascar. It is nestled in between white sand dunes and forests of palm trees and although it’s a popular tourist spot it offers clean and almost empty, lonely beaches. Lucky Karo had the honour to spend one amazing, colourful, sunny, relaxing, sparkling, splashing and “nutty” month in this incredibly beautiful, slow and sleepy former fishing village.

If Karo had to dedicate a certain smell or taste to Tofo she would have NO difficulty to do so. For Karo it’s obvious! For Karo Tofo tastes and smells like COCONUT. Certainly that is a great thing because Karo finds coconuts really awesome! Really really awesome and really really yummy! Karo fell in love! Karo fell in love with coconuts and with Tofo. One could say Karo became a real “NUTcase” in Tofo (coconuts, cashewnuts, peanuts) others could say that she was that even before … Whatever the truth is, in a NUTshell, with nuts in the morning, nuts in the evening and with all the fresh fruits (pineapples, tangerines, passion fruits, papayas, avocados, oranges, bananas) Karo was in a culinary paradise and she so enjoyed it, but of course, Tofo has more to offer than healthy, natural and yummy treats for the tummy. In fact, Tofo has MUCH more to offer.

WHAT IS IT THEN?

Well, to be precise, there is not much happening IN Tofo itself, but there is a lot happening AROUND Tofo. To be clear – OCEAN-CLEAR – a lot is happening in the waters around Tofo and that’s what most people come for. Tofo is a mecca for underwater-maniacs, ocean-lovers and marine-life enthusiasts. It is amongst the best diving destinations in the world with whalesharks, manta rays, whales, dolphins and sharks as a common sight. Karo saw with her own eyes that Tofo’s good reputation in the diving world is not without reason. Truly, Tofo’s marine life is absolutely stunning, mind-blowing, breath-taking (literally) but Karo will not explain any further because there isn’t anything more to say since she is still speechless by the beauty of her underwater and surface water experiences!

Karo was particularly lucky. Karo was particularly lucky because when she was in Tofo it was “humpback whale season”. Every year the beautiful and fascinating giants migrate from the cold waters around Antarctica to the warm waters of the Mozambican channel to give birth to hundreds of baby-humpback-whales. The happy baby whales turned out to be very acrobatic in nature – below and above surface – and entertained the whole Tofo with their jumping, waving and swimming on their Mummy’s backs … So cute and so fascinating!

As if baby-humpback whales and a generally insanely rich marine life wouldn’t already be enough, Tofo has even more to offer. Adventures in Tofo happen not only underneath the ocean’s surface, but also on top of it since Tofo is a very popular destination for surfers. Waves, waves, waves are found pretty much around the clock and to be precise that’s why Karo came to Tofo. Exactly, Karo came to Tofo because she wanted to exchange for one month her saddle underneath her bum with a surfboard underneath her legs. Karo wanted to learn surfing. Karo planned to come to Tofo to learn surfing.

Karo very rarely plans, but in that case she did it. Karo rarely plans because most of the time when Karo plans something, things turn out COMPLETELY different. Luckily most of the time it’s a good thing. So, guess WHAT happened? Exactly, her surfing plans never got materialized, or to put it correctly, they only got started and Karo has to finish elsewhere …

and she will!

SO, WHAT HAPPENED?

Karo enjoyed three fun-thrilled, exciting, splashing, adrenalin-full days on Tofo’s awesome waves and then she very badly hurt her leg. Ironically it happened not on the surfboard. Karo was pushing her limits with other kinds of workout and Karo pushed a little too hard … she pushed a little beyond her limits and that’s why she ended up having a ligamental strain in her right foot. And so it happened that the three remaining weeks of her stay Karo didn’t spent riding waves, but limping around Tofo. Luckily, Karo is very flexible. She is usually very relaxed when plans don’t work out the way she wants (because she is so used to it) and besides that “IT IS HOW IT IS” so WHY being negative about it. She knows, the time will come when she exchanges her saddle underneath her bum with a surfboard underneath her legs and she is already looking forward to that … 🙂

WHAT DID KARO DO THEN … in her invalid state?

Lots of things because Karo has no clue what boredom is. She knows how to spell it, but she has no idea what it essentially means. Seriously, even if you would lock her in a tiny room with nothing but herself, she would be totally fine with it. She would probably meditate or count her freckles … WHATEVER, but she wouldn’t be bored! While her right foot rested Karo was busy. Karo was busy being fulfilled. Karo’s days were fully filled with quality time …

And NO, she was not just eating and cracking coconuts although that was pretty hard work as well. Karo was also writing a blog (EXACTLY, the thing what YOU are reading just now), she was playing her harmonica, she was drawing, she was relaxing on the beach, she went diving, she was watching acrobatic humpback whales from her balcony, she was studying Portuguese (mas ela nao fala bem porque esta língua é muito díficil para estudar …), she was exploring mainland Tofo in turtle-speed (because of her limping), she was making new two- and four-legged friends and she was giving full body massages to her four-legged barking friends with whom she shared her house …

DCIM100GOPROGOPR0353.JPGDCIM100GOPROG0180590.JPGwp_20180816_0351

Yes, Karo really enjoyed Tofo and she couldn’t believe how quickly the time passed. For Karo Tofo started to feel like a home and that’s why Karo was very sad, when she eventually had to say GOODBYE …
