George and family, Karo met George many years ago when he was on a bicycle and Karo wasn’t, now things have changed. He was actually pushing his bicycle filled with 5 big water canisters (a total weight of 100 kgs) up a hill, when they first met. That was his job and he earned roughly ONE euro per day, but George kept pushing. Since that random encounter Karo and George have been good friends and since then a lot of things have changed. George is not pushing bicycles any longer, but is a very successful employee, farmer and father. Karo is always amazed about George’s positive spirit and enormous ambition. It was one of her highlights to see him again THRIVING in his small Ugandan village after so many years … 🙂
