Goodie, Karo met this wonderful soul in a small village in the Malawian highlands. A very exhausted Karo knocked on her gate looking for a place to stay. Karo had no idea that Goodie would turn out to be an angel with a very interesting past. This young spirit in an 82 year old body had been living in Germany for 45 years, but decided to go back to her Malawian roots. Goodie has been a nurse her whole life long and is trying to revolutionize Malawian health care with her knowledge from abroad. She is an “in-between” child. While she has always been “Malawian” in Germany, she is now called the “German” in her own village. At 82 she is dreaming of her own dispensary in the middle of the Malawian bush. Karo is still amazed, not just about Goodie’s extreme hospitality, but her sparkling spirit and immense integrity! Goodie really deserves her name since it expresses EXACTLY her GOODNESS …
